The Saga Continues

It's funny when you tell your son..."C'mon Noah we are going to take a ride" and his response "are we going to go see Karen?". Karen is our real estate agent.

SO CLOSE YET SO FAR....We found the perfect house on Monday evening. We put in a solid offer and the listing agent "supposedly" couldn't get ahold of her buyers (they live in Florida). By noon on Tuesday another offer came to the table. The listing agent had to submit both offers at the same time - however she neglected to tell our agent she was the one writing the other offer. The sellers went, obviously, with the other offer. Basically we got screwed. So we are going out today to look at more houses. I have kinda fizzled out looking at houses. Not as much fun as it was in the beginning. Let me have my pity party until I find something else. I KNOW, I KNOW there is a reason why, we will find another perfect house, blah, blah, blah. Okay - so maybe luck will be on our side today? Or at least this weekend? Or next week?

P.S. Sorry I haven't posted pics of the boys I have house stuff on my mind. It's a long weekend surely I will capture a few.

Nada

Okay so we didn't find anything Sunday either. I believe St Joseph only helps you sell your house not buy one. We are looking at another one tonight.

House Hunting continues

So we are starting over....the house we thought we really wanted didn't come to agreement so we walked away. I have to believe there is a reason for everything. Like the next day the paper and the news said big increases in electric and gas. Good, b/c that was a big house. So Sunday we will spend the day and look again. We won't settle but hopefully we will find something and close in time. This is stressful. Really stressful. Wish us luck finding the perfect house for our family.

I believe, I believe

WE GOT A CONTRACT ON OUR HOUSE!!! 3 weeks on the market. So, Jason and I don't go to church as often as we should and we both grew up Catholic. I had always heard about burying a St Joseph in the yard. He is sometimes referred to as the Patron Saint of Real Estate. Jason kept calling it hokey and didn't want to do it. I however wanted to believe that it could work. I went last Thursday and bought my St Joseph, buried him in my flowerpot in the front garden (upside down facing east), and said my prayer. Saturday morning we had a showing, they came back Monday night and we had the offer Tuesday. What makes me believe is because we had several other people look who said they loved it but never came back. So for anyone getting ready to sell their house just try it....but the key is to believe it can actually work.
So now, once we move, I will take my little St Joseph out and tell him thank you for helping us sell our house and hope that he will watch over us in our new home. We are putting in an offer on one this evening.
If everything goes as planned we are scheduled to close on our house June 24th. Not much time to pack and get everything done but I am ready!
Wish us luck everything runs smoothly. I will get some pics up of our possible new home when we go over for inspections

Happy Birthday Max

Max turned 1 yesterday! Happy birthday buddy! I can't believe another year has passed. We are out of the baby phase and officially into toddlerhood. It's hard to believe we will have no more babies.
Max has been sick this week with fever and the yuck but he managed through his party last night. We had a Fiesta theme with fajitas, quesadillas, black bean salsa, and queso, Sombreros and marachas! It was delicious. He loves his presents and was glad to be able to share his special day with his family and great aunts! The boys had their well checks today. Max weighed in at 18lbs 12 oz (4%) 28.8in tall. Noah weighed in at 29.4lbs and 34.8in. Max is almost as tall as Noah!
Good morning birthday boy!
Nana and Papa
Sombrero Boy!
Opening presents
Trying to get a picture with all of them. This is the best we could do.
Max's Fiesta Cake
Noah - his "cheese" face
What in the world?

i will stick one little finger in and taste.....
I think he likes it.
More cake please
Oh ya this feels good in my fingers

the video of the night....excuse all the cussing but my family thinks it is appropriate to get Noah to say "Damn it" again.....they did not win

Meeting the Aunts

Jason's aunts are in town for the week from Pittsburgh and California. They are so much fun and we are so glad the kids got to meet them. We had dinner with them Saturday night. Lots of great food and the kids were exhausted by the time we left.

Wine and Cheese before dinner.

Playing outside

Finally a weekend the weather was phenomenal.....We played outside all day Saturday.

Playdough and bubbles. Doesn't get any more fun than that.....

Except for the new Sand and Water Table we gave Max for his birthday. We moved outside (sunday) and filled it with water...fun, fun!

Ahhh the blessing of a Parrot

So Noah has been picking up some bad habits from Daddy (ok, mommy too - probably more from Mommy than Daddy but that is beside the point). Last night we sat down for dinner, I gave Noah a spoon hoping to help him scoop up his corn as opposed to a fork. I watched him struggle with one spoonful he got it up to his lips and the corn fell off. He tried again. On the third try he put his spoon down, sighed and said "I need a fork Damn It!". It was the funniest thing I think I have ever heard my little parrot say.....I was impressed he used it in the correct context. It took everything I had not to laugh. I got up from the table, mentioned that was a bad word (as he repeats, ya that's a bad word) and got him his fork. Oh how I love him!

FLASHER

HEY WHO'S THAT IN THE WINDOW.....Noah has become a challenge to get dressed for bedtime

Bring out the tent

Max didn't know we had a tent. We decided it was time for something new to play with and although it takes up half our living room the boys had a blast.

Daddy had fun too
