Max is officially in a big boy bed. It is bitter sweet. I am glad he is out of the crib and growing up but we are out of the baby phase :( He did really well his first night and when he woke up in the morning he said "I did it!" he was so proud of himself. Now the boys have matching beds

Man on the moon
How fitting for the anniversary of the Man on the Moon. When I decided to make this I didn't realize it was just a few days away. This is Noah's space suite. He wanted to go to outerspace to visit the aliens. I turned the box he was playing with into a spacesuit......granted this was a last minute project to kill time before bed and all I had was masking tape but Noah didn't care he thought it was "the best space suit ever"
his helmet looks more like a viking but it worked.

Like father like sons....
Noah has a new "mean" face when he's angry at me. And for some reason I think he looks like his father. You decide??!!
The lake just ain't like it used to be....
There was a time in my life that going to the lake meant relaxing, sun, beer!
It was still a lot of fun but oh how times have changed. It's amazing how growing up and two children can change the meaning of "going to the lake". This was the boys first time and I was a nervous wreck. Worried constantly about life jackets, sun screen and my kids falling in and drowning. Life jackets...check...the boys wore them with no hesitation. Sun Screen...check...no sunburns this weekend. Falling in to the lake.....check...oh wait, no check no one did. It was a great time and fun to see the boys enjoy the boat and swimming in the lake.

Happy 4th of July!
Just getting ready for the festivities. I made paper flag hats for the boys - they are actually wearing them. Not to shabby for a last minute idea. Plus I found some old T-shirts and I stamped some stars on them. Getting all craft for the 4th! We have a neighborhood block party tonight - decorated wagons and a parade..... should be fun. Enjoy Noah's Patriotic Tribute! God Bless America

Freedom Festival at Grace
I can't believe it's been a year since we moved into the new house. There is a huge church right around the corner in our neighborhood that has a "Freedom Festival" the weekend before 4th of July. We missed it by a week last year but were here to enjoy it this year. We walked over to the church and spent an evening with friends and fireworks show.
