Day 1 Beach Video

Day 1

Day 1 at the beach. Eating lunch. The boys enjoyed every minute of it. Not once did Max say "I want to go home". This is monumental since pretty much anytime we go anywhere those are the first words out of his mouth

Enjoying the water. Not one bit afraid.

Daddy and Noah playing in the surf

Jason's David Hasselhoff impression

After day 1 Jason is already planning our trip next year.

Eating dinner on the deck. We finally ate hamburgers by about 8:00 not because we were on the beach all day but because the charcoal we bought wouldn't light. And instead of immediately running to the store Jason fought with it for an hour. Finally just went and got Lighter Fluid and lit the whole thing up. In his defense the charcoal I bought was "Self Lighting - No Lighter Fluid Needed". I don't know what that means but it does require lighter fluid

Cheesing it up for the camera

grrrrrrr

Max been ornery....always

then showing a softer side.

He hasn't learned what karma means yet. But I think this is payback for being mean to his brother......Attack of the hammock

and we just kept laughing

What a great way to end the evening...another night beach walk...and the boys even slept until 9:30 the next day!

Off to the beach - Arrival

Ahhh our first real family vacation. We rented a beach house for the week in Galveston. The trip down was great. The boys did really well. It helped stopping in Dallas overnight to see Aunt Janna. Arriving in Galveston was awesome - the smell of the ocean air. We arrived at the house and were so glad to see the pictures online were exactly what the house looked like. Less than a a block to the beach and in a great neighborhood.

We unpacked and ventured to the beach just to check it out. Boys just sat right down in the sand and started playing. Max keeps calling it "mud" and asks before he does anything "Can I still play in the mud?"

Once we cleaned off from the beach we went out to dinner. I was worn out and didn't feel like cooking the first night.

Eat it

Tons of crabs scurry across the sand.

Mother's Day at School

Noah's Pre-K class had a mother's day breakfast at school. I can't believe he is done with Pre-K and on to kindergarten! He has grown so much this year and I'm so proud of him.

The book he made for me

Noahism

Noah: "We shoulda got a different one than Max. I'm nice to him all the time and he's mean to me" Me: "Well we can't send him back" Noah: "I wish the jupter jump could've stayed instead"

Maxism

Finding out the Easter Bunny hid his basket: "Oh snap the Easter Bunny hid my basket"

After his partying all day with his brother: "Hey Noah, I am trying to be nice to you but head just won't let me"
